Smartphone to the rescue!

Smart phone.

After a South Lawndale teen robbed a woman of her smart phone on Tuesday, he took a photo of himself with it, state prosecutors said. That photo became his undoing, they said, when the phone automatically posted it to his victim's Facebook account.

Jesus "Bam Bam" Anaya was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with theft, robbery, and indecent exposure after police officers saw him urinating in the street near his West 21st Place residence and recognized him as resembling the alleged phone robber, according to court records.

When Anaya, 18, saw the officers, he ran, the police report said. When officers caught him, he allegedly told them, "I'm sorry officer that I ran, I was just pissing and did not want to get in trouble."

Anaya was charged with theft after the officers found he was carrying a debit card belonging to another woman, the report said. Anaya allegedly told officers he was planning to return the card.
