The CTA will run more train service, and 30 buses will see detours Friday for the Blackhawks parade, the transit agency announced Wednesday.
The CTA said riders should allow extra time traveling in the Loop Friday. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m., at the United Center and head to Grant Park.
From morning until about 3 p.m., Columbus Drive from Monroe Street to Roosevelt Road; and Monroe, Jackson and Balbo Streets between Michigan Avenue and Lake Shore Drive will be closed to traffic. All bus routes will be returned to normal routing by evening rush, the CTA said.
A total of 30 CTA buses will be detoured in the downtown area as a result of street closures for the set-up, take-down and duration of the parade and rally.

>> Red Line: Trains will run about every five minutes from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
>> Blue Line: Trains will run every six minutes between 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
>> Brown Line: Longer trains will run from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
>> Green Line: Longer trains will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
>> Orange Line: Longer trains will run about every eight minutes from 8:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
>> Pink Line: Longer trains will run from about 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
>> Yellow Line: Trains will run every 10 minutes from 10 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
>> Purple Line Express: From 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Purple Line Express trains will run every 15 minutes. Purple Line trains to the Loop will run express from Howard to Addison, and make a local stop at Addison.
Trains will continue to Belmont and make regular Purple Line Express stops into and around the Loop.
Purple Line Express trains to Linden will run through Belmont, then make a local stop at the Addison Red Line stop, then run express to Howard and make regular stops through Linden.
