Chefs David Ford (The Bluebird), Adam Wendt (Bangers & Lace), Chris Curren (Homestead) and Cosmo Goss (Publican Quality Meats) compete in a hot dog adorning challenge to benefit local organization Un86'd, which supports restaurant workers in need. This barbecue bash also features a pool on the patio, water balloon contest and raffles. Admission includes three tickets exchangeable for hot dogs, spiked punches and PBRs with extras priced at $3 each. 4-9 p.m. $20 donation.

Think there's nothing special about Mondays? Think again. The Monday special at Naples-born chef-owner Nella Grassano's Lincoln Park spot-which also boasts a 90-seat landscaped patio-features her signature wood-fired, Neapolitan-style margherita pie for $7 (regularly $12.99). 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

See a one-night-only preview screening of the indie documentary about the craft cocktail renaissance which-ahem-blends experts' commentary and industry convention footage into an exploration of the experiences of two bartenders, one of whom is Chicago native and former U.S. Marine Steve Schneider, who experienced a life-threatening injury prior to working at a top NYC cocktail bar. 8 p.m. $10.
