The CTA has installed at least one train tracker display in every rail station, beating its self-imposed Labor Day deadline for having these signs installed, the agency announced Monday.
The CTA last week set up screens at the Madison/Wabash Loop station, the final stop not undergoing construction to receive these displays.
The rail system now features 475 display train tracker screens. The CTA had promised that each rail station would have a train tracker display by Labor Day.
The agency said it will continue to add screens through 2014 for a total of 1,000 displays.
There are two stations that the CTA is holding off in installing displays. The Wilson and Clark/Division Red Line stops are undergoing renovations and will receive these screens during their projects.
When the nine southern Red Line stops open in October after their five-month renovation, they will have train tracker displays as well.
