First off, it was the Cowboys.
Secondly, it was zero degrees outside, and they are the modern poster children of the warm weather sissy team. Remember the Ice Bowl in '67? They lost that game too.
Nonetheless, thank you Josh McCown. Where have you been all of our lives? Playing with all those toys like that.
And so the debate rages on. McCown or Jay Cutler. If Cutler is ready, I say Cutler. But I'm in the minority around here. Certainly, Brian Urlacher disagrees with me but hey, all of the sudden he's a media star after mumbling his way around town for 13 years.
And all of the sudden we're letting Cutler walk in free agency because we're all just so sure there's another guy just waiting to be had out there.
Sorry, too many scars for me. Too many Kordell Stewarts, Cade McNowns, Crag Krenzels and Chad Hutchinsons in my memory. I'm gun shy, QB shy and socially shy. My growth has been stunted.
And look, if I'm Cutler, I'm looking real hard at the Bears. It's not about the dough, Jay.
We offer:
1) Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall
2) A decent to good offensive line-arrow is pointing up
3) A stud tight end in Martellus Bennett
4) Matt Forte
5) For once in five years, coaches with brains, plans, vision and ideas.
So take less money and stay here. We'll fix the defense, we promise.
And keep your hands off of him, Tennessee. You can't offer any of those things.
On to some good White Sox news-we have a new "dirtbag" in the house-Adam Eaton. Welcome! We haven't had one since A.J Pierzinski was around here. Get this-he takes pitches, walks, does what he can to get on base. What's up with the White Sox? They're getting younger and faster before our eyes.
Some bad news: Ken Harrelson lost out on the Ford Frick award. Are there umps to blame? No? Mercy.
That's opposed to the Cubs, who have done let's see nothing. No, wait, they "dangled" Jeff Samardzija. No taker! What a shock, they've overestimated their talent!
