The fall TV season is wrapping up with finales and holiday specials. Here are a handful of viewing options for Dec. 16-Dec. 22.

This schedule of premieres, finales, movies and specials includes many holiday programs, but you can find an even more comprehensive holiday schedule here.

Monday, Dec. 16

Robot Chicken
11 p.m. Monday, Adult Swim
In "Born Again Virgin Christmas Special," we learn what Ebenezer Scrooge really said after his night with the ghosts and all about the danger elves face on the job at the North Pole. This holiday special is definitely adults only, unless you want to traumatize the kids.

How Sherlock Changed the World

They're talking about Sherlock Holmes, the legendary detective who returns to PBS in January with the new "Sherlock" mysteries starring Benedict Cumberbatch. This two-hour special examines how the fictional detective created 120 years ago by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has affected real police investigation techniques.

Kathy Griffin makes history with her 20th stand-up special for Bravo. Guinness World Records has given the Oak Park native its award for "Most Stand-Up Specials by a Comedian."

Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year
8:30 p.m. Wednesday, ABC
Barbara Walters hosts her last "Fascinating People" special by interviewing Pope Francis, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lawrence, the cast of A&E's "Duck Dynasty," NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, "Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts and Prince George, son of Kate Middleton and Prince William.

8 p.m. Wednesday, TNT
Frank Darabont's noir thriller closes out its short first season with back-to-back episodes that are a marked improvement over the first two.

The I Love Lucy Christmas Special

Two "I Love Lucy" episodes from 1956 have been colorized and seamlessly combined for this holiday treat. "The Christmas Episode," once thought to be lost, has the Ricardos and Mertzes decorating Lucy and Ricky's tree and remembering special times in their lives. "Lucy's Italian Movie" is the classic episode in which Lucy stomps grapes.

7 p.m. Friday, TNT
Hugh Jackman hosts as the Backstreet Boys, Sheryl Crow, Janelle Monáe and others perform for the first family.

Nikita
8 p.m. Friday, CW
The spy thriller's penultimate episode starts out with Team Nikita seemingly safe and considered heroes after saving the world from war. Then they learn Amanda (Melinda Clarke) is still alive, and how they find out is simply devastating.

They've been hilarious doing "Late Night" bits, but now Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon co-host the last "SNL" of the year. Fingers crossed Fallon's team writes all the sketches.

Sunday, Dec. 22

iHeartradio Jingle Ball 2013
7 p.m. Wednesday, WGN
Robin Thicke, Selena Gomez and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis perform, but all anyone really wants to know is whether Miley Cyrus will be naughty or nice.

7 p.m. Sunday, PBS
Hugh Bonneville of "Downton Abbey" plays a homeless man who is invited by a 12-year-old girl to hide out in a shed in her parents' garden.

I am Britney Jean
8 p.m. Sunday, E!
Britney Spears has said her reality show with ex Kevin Federline, titled "Chaotic," was her biggest mistake. Girl hasn't learned though: She's letting the cameras in again as prepares for her Las Vegas residency and new album.

The team looks into the assassination of Martin Luther King and the Marfa Lights in Texas, which are totally unrelated.

On the Case with Paula Zahn

The new season opens with a look at the murder of a mother of four in Bourne, Mass., that took three decades to solve.
