B is for Brienne

On Monday, the Internet confirmed yet another wonderful "Star Wars: Episode VII" rumor: Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie have joined the cast, Lucasfilm announced on its website Monday. While Lupita has been on everyone's mind since her star-making turn in last year's "12 Years a Slave," you may not know Gwendoline beyond her role as the sword-wielding Brienne of Tarth on "Game of Thrones." Here's five things to know about this Brit..

1 -- She really is taller than the dudes

Brienne makes an intimidating warrior on "GoT" because of her height -- something that's not faked for the cameras. In real life, Gwendoline measures a full 6 feet, 3 inches. "People have always come up to me and asked how tall I am. I've had it since I was 14," she told the U.K.'s Stylist. "But now they ask if I'm in `Game Of Thrones.' That's what I've always wanted my whole life, to be recognized as an actress and not just a really tall person."

2 -- She's part of that  other  super-hot sci-fi series

You'll be able to see Gwendoline alongside Jennifer Lawrence and the rest of the "Hunger Games" gang when she takes on the role of Commander Lyme in "The Hunger Games -- Mockingjay: Part 2," set for a 2015 release.

3 -- Acting wasn't her first potential career in the arts

Gwendoline told the U.K.'s Stylist that she did tap, ballet and rhythmic gymnastics from the age of 7, but a back injury when she was 11 ended that dream.

4 -- Yes, she has posed nude

But not for the traditional reasons. She collaborated with photographer Polly Borland on a series called Bunny, in which Gwendoline appeared mostly naked. The photos were published as a book in 2008. "Because my body is so large I wanted to completely come to terms with it and Polly gave me that opportunity," she told the U.K.'s Independent at the time.

5 -- She's hilarious

But that's probably a good idea when you have to pee in really heavy armor. Gwendoline relayed one such incident to Vulture last year, which also involved some very unstable ground. "There was one horrible moment where I thought, `This whole portaloo is going to tip over and I'm going to be trapped with my trousers around my ankles, in full armor, all 900 million kilos of me, on top of the door. They're going to have to crane me out, and it's going to be entirely humiliating. Me, in armor, trousers around ankles, phone still in hand,'" she said.
