The South Loop gains a new coffee and food bar that features Metropolis coffee ($2-$5) as well as $3-$8 sweet and savory bites from a menu created by Hoosier Mama Pie Company's Paula Haney such as chicken pot pie, quiches, pastries, made-to-order salads and sandwiches and-of course-pies. 6 a.m.-8 p.m.

Stop into the River West spot for a new limited edition beer from Twisted Spoke's in-house label, Nomad Brewing, available in 750-milliliter bottles through late June only. What's bottle conditioning? The process results in a finer head and creamier texture. 11 a.m.-2 a.m. $25.

Comedian Sean Flannery ("The Blackout Diaries") hosts the opening night of this ninth annual comedy extravaganza featuring storytellers (Monday); solo performers (Tuesday); sketch groups (Wednesday) and stand-up comics (Thursday) who've been rejected from at least one festival. Monday, 11 storytellers including G.P.A. (Greatest Poet Alive) and This Much Is True co-host Stephanie Douglass compete for a judging panel; the winner gets a spot on WBEZ's "Afternoon Shift." 8:30 p.m. $20 per show. Tickets: snubfest.com

'Exposed'

Get racy-vicariously-at the Chicago premiere of this documentary by former Chicagoan Beth B, which explores comedic and political aspects of the neo-burlesque movement and such subtopics as transgender acceptance and disability empowerment through the stories of eight performers. Jon Langford: Songs From 'Take Me'

The Mekons founder performs songs from a musical-in-progress he's co-writing with local playwright Mark Guarino about a man contacted by extraterrestrials who want him to build a theme park.
