Police were searching for an armed man wearing a dark blue or black security shirt that robbed a bank in theWicker Park neighborhood this morning.
The bank hold up happened at 10:35 a.m. at the North Community Bank, 1555 N. Damen Ave., according to police and FBI officials.
The man was wearing a security shirt and displayed a handgun before fleeing on foot southbound on Damen Avenue, said FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde.
The man is described as black, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, between 25 and 35 years of age, with light facial hair. He was wearing a black or dark blue security guard shirt and a baseball cap, officials said.
There were no reported injuries.
