In what has to be a response to increased interest, Riot Fest announced Thursday that the music festival and carnival will relocate to the northern side of Humboldt Park starting this year, increasing the size of the event.
The fest now will be contained between West North Avenue and West Division Street to the north and south, respectively, and North Kedzie Avenue and N. California Avenue at the west and east, respectively.
In addition to more than 100 artists ranging from Weezer to local rapper Show You Suck, a new release Thursday from the fest announced new additions to the carnival, including two Ferris wheels, a nine-hole mini-golf course, a 20-game arcade and a full-scale haunted house. Also announced? A wine bar, because nothing says fun like a carnival ride on two glasses of red, right?
Riot Fest is offering three-day passes for the carnival events that will include unlimited rides.
