Though Chloe's opened just three months ago, big changes are in store for the Boystown nightclub at the corner of Belmont Avenue and Halsted Street.
LKH Management (Hydrate, Elixir, Replay) has taken over management of Chloe's and plans to reconcept the space into a second incarnation of Manhole, the iconic, debaucherous Boystown club that closed in 2002. Owners cite the continued popularity of Manhole parties at Hydrate, which offered an inclusive atmosphere for members of the leather and fetish communities. Manhole will open in the former Chloe's space Sept. 19.
The first floor of the space, which housed Spin before Chloe's opened, will be a dance club open Thursdays through Sundays and will host DJs and theme nights. Upstairs, The Den at Manhole will be a billiards and darts bar open seven days a week.
