There will be a new Chance the Rapper full-length in 2014. In a lengthy interview with Billboard Magazine yesterday, the Chicago native revealed a lot of new information with the biggest announcement being that his next project will be out before the end of the year. Despite a consistent stream of one-off singles throughout this year, this will mark his first full release since 2013's breakout "Acid Rap." Here's 5 things we learned about the record.

1: The name of the project is called "Surf" and will be helmed by Social Experiment band member Nico "Donnie Trumpet" Segal.

"Surf" is the first project, which is coming out before the end of 2014. It's the first Social Experiment project. It's a big step for all of us all putting our heads together and letting Nico [Segal, a.k.a Donnie Trumpet] hold the reigns and carry it.

2: He's kind of tired of playing songs from "Acid Rap"

"I'm definitely tired of playing Acid Rap. I'm definitely tired of playing "Juice.""

3: There are some big names attached to collaborate on the new music.

"We're working really closely with Francis Starlite from Francis and the Lights. He's been a really been a big help on "Surf." We worked with Migos. We worked with J. Cole. We did some work with Emily King just last week. Somebody who helped us out a lot with just getting into the project was Rick Rubin. And Frank Ocean."

(Chance and Frank Ocean? Chance and Migos? Yes, that will do nicely.)

4: Chance truly appreciates being an independent artist.

"I can flex that unlimited capability of an independent artist. I can do whatever videos I want, I can play whatever shows I want, I can release when I want, talk how I want, freely about any subject. I have a certain responsibility and I feel like conforming to the mixtape to mixtape to album rule would just defeat the whole purpose of not signing [with a major label]."

5: SAVEMONEY isn't just the name of Chance's crew, it's a lifestyle.

"I'm not a chain-buying-ass n--ga. I'm still a very frugal person. But everything that does get spent is a reinvestment into my own music. Which is why I own a bus and print all my own merchandise and run my own website and do my own releases and partner with really cool helpful companies like SoundCloud."
