Stretches of the lakefront path remain closed three days after a Halloween storm damaged parts of the path.
Workers are out repairing the path Monday, according to Chicago Park District spokeswoman Jessica Maxey-Faulkner. The park district does not yet have a tally for the cost of repairs, she said.
On Friday, high winds - accompanied by snow - stirred up the Lake Michigan, sending waves crashing over the path. Stretchs of the Ohio Street Beach and Oak Street Beach were hit hard, with patches of asphalt on the path torn up.
