The Langham's outdoor restaurant Elle on the River is closed for the summer, but you can still order the Mediterranean tacos ($3 each) in Travelle's lounge Monday through Wednesday during November. Varieties include piri piri chicken and crispy chickpeas. Sunset to 8 p.m.

Brooks Headley Appearance

The James Beard Award-winning pasty chef and punk rock drummer prepares veggie burgers and samples from his new cookbook, "Brooks Headley's Fancy Desserts." Headley also curates the Wicker Park bar's music for the night and sells signed copies of the book. 6 p.m. No cover.

The Bucktown spot changes its decor, music and drink menu in tribute to the Cuban bar Ernest Hemingway frequented. Sable's head bartender Mike Ryan mixes $8 classic cocktails made with Cana Brava rum, including daiquiris and a mojito. 7-10 p.m. No cover.

View 30 works created primarily using Red Bull cans at this exhibit, which runs through Nov. 16. Sculptures will also be on display from 10 p.m. to midnight at an afterparty at Headquarters Beercade (213 W. Institute Place), which also features beats from DJ Zebo. 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Free.

Comedians Jeff Steinbrunner, Tommy McNamara, Chastity Washington and Danny Kallas perform at the North Center bar's weekly series, which combines stand-up, sketch, character performances and comedic music. 8 p.m. $5.
