Parson's wants you to have some hot chicken with your cold ice skates.
Humboldt Park restaurant and bar Parson's Chicken & Fish announced Wednesday that an ice skating rink that has been in the works for weeks will open Dec. 12 to the public, according to a press release. The rink, which is located on the eatery's outdoor patio, will be open to patrons of all ages. A $5 skating fee applies whether you'd like to rent skates on-site or bring your own.
According to the release, the Dec. 12 opening date is weather permitting. The hours will be 3 p.m.-midnight Fridays, 10 a.m.-midnight Saturdays and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sundays.
A special menu from chef Hunter Moore and bartender Charlie Schott will be served while the rink is open. About 30 skaters will be permitted on the rink at a time, and yes -- in case you were wondering -- you can eat chicken while skating.
