This otter puppy has a name, and you can call her Luna.
After more than a week of voting in a Good Morning America poll, voters chose Luna as the name for the 11-week old otter pup, which was orphaned in October. The announcement was made via a Google Hangout Friday morning. Formerly "Pup 681", the baby otter currently lives under 24-hour care at the Shedd.
The name Luna beat out Poppy, Cali, Elli and Ana as name choices.
On Tuesday, the Shedd Aquarium gave RedEye exclusive access to the little lady's special care area, and you can watch the footage above. She's currently learning to forage (or dive under water), and is on her way to reaching other otter milestones like discovering her pocket--a flap of skin to store rocks and food--and eating on her own.
