AMC finally has given "Better Call Saul" a trailer that shows more than just a tease from the upcoming series.
The "Breaking Bad" prequel is turning out to be one of the most highly anticipated new shows of the midseason. Debuting in a special two-night premiere at 9 p.m. Feb. 8 and 9, the series will follow small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) as he struggles to fit into the world of respectable law. Well, we all know what happens there; he becomes the somewhat successful ambulance chaser Saul Goodman. The show is set six years before Saul meets Walter White.
When "Breaking Bad" began, Walter White was the put-upon schlub who got pushed to the curb time and again. It looks like Jimmy will play that part in the prequel, despite him sounding very Saul-like when he proclaims, "You! Will! Atone!" His trash can abuse shows that the outburst doesn't get him anywhere.
The clip also shows actor Michael McKean, who plays Jimmy's brother, Chuck. Patrick Fabian plays Howard Hamlin, the lawyer who Jimmy faces off against in the clip. The cast also includes Reha Seehorn as lawyer Kim Wexler and Michael Mando as the criminal Nacho Varga.
A familiar face from "Breaking Bad" coming to the new series is Mike Ehrmantraut, who is played by Jonathan Banks.
"Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan and writer Peter Gould created "Better Call Saul."
