Dishes: Warm up around the fireplace at The Godfrey Hotel's rooftop lounge in River North while sharing small plates such as huevos rancheros ($9), an inverted version of the Mexican dish with a pair of chili-poached eggs topped with hot red salsa, guacamole, cilantro and tortilla shreds, or the Greek yogurt parfait ($7) featuring honey-sweetened granola and citrus granita.
Drinks: Toast 2015 with the brunch equivalent of bottle service for your crew: a bottle of champagne and nine plates ($200) or 14 plates and a magnum of champagne ($400). You can also order a la carte cocktails like the blueberry-lavender mimosa ($12) or a pitcher of margaritas or mojitos ($28).

Joe Fish

Dishes: The egg crispelle ($17)-pizza dough baked in a wood-burning oven with egg, parmesan cheese, olive oil and black pepper-is kind of like a grown-up version of pizza for breakfast. Of course, there are also plenty of seafood dishes, such as soft scrambled eggs with lobster, creme fraiche and chives ($19).
Drinks: The menu features six different types of bloody marys, including the Beet Red Snapper ($11) made with gin, roasted beet syrup, balsamic vinegar, basil and pickled vegetables, and the Knob Creek bourbon-based Smokehouse Derby ($12) garnished with candied bacon.

Mas

Dishes: Executive chef Yanni Sanchez serves classic Mexican brunch fare such as huevos rancheros ($9) garnished with thinly sliced black radish and banana truffle puree, and chilaquiles ($12), made from either red or green salsa over a pile of crispy tortillas. For something sweet, try the French toast ($11) made with brioche topped with caramelized apples and Mexican caramel.
Drinks: The signature bloody maria ($12) is made with bacon-infused tequila and garnished with olives, lime and bacon, while the Kir Poma ($10) features cava and pomegranate juice poured over a simple syrup-soaked hibiscus flower.

Highline Bar & Lounge

Dishes: The house-brined meat used for this River North bar's reuben sliders stars in the corned bison hash served with a fried duck egg ($11). You can also order the decadent Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch French toast served with thick-cut bacon and peanut butter mousse ($10).
Drinks: Roasted red pepper bisque serves as the base for the housemade bloody mary mix, and you can garnish your drink with a bar of fixings including deviled duck eggs, cured meats and cheeses. The price ($9.50) also includes any draft beer as a beer back.

Porkchop

Dishes: The barbecue restaurant's Hyde Park location serves a meaty brunch with chicken and waffles ($12) with fried chicken, a Belgian waffle and ancho chili-infused syrup and a Benedict ($11) with two English muffins, poached eggs, blood orange hollandaise, herb-roasted potatoes and pulled pork chicken.
Drinks: Come in before 1 p.m. and you'll get a mimosa or bloody mary on the house (the drinks are $5 after). You can also try one of the restaurant's specialty bloody marys for $9 such as the Mortem Mary made with Death's Door white whiskey and garnished with pearl onions.

Parts and Labor

Dishes: Dig into a brunch burger ($7.50) featuring two griddle patties, cheese, two strips of bacon and an egg served open-faced or indulge your sweet tooth with bacon pancake dippers served with maple syrup ($6).
Drinks: Order a bloody mary ($7) with a skewer of giardiniera-the same housemade stuff that's deep-fried and served as a side during dinner hours, or a $5 mimosa.

Kanela

Dishes: The Wicker Park restaurant offers the same menu as Kanela's other two locations including a breakfast sandwich with housemade pork sausage, cheddar, an over-easy egg, arugula and pepper jam on an English muffin served with herb-roasted potatoes ($12) and fried egg, smoked ham, tomato and roasted pepper chutney served on a buttered croissant ($11).
Drinks: BYO vodka and build a bloody mary with skewer fixings such as salami, celery and pickled onions for $5.

Compass Bar

Dishes: The Lincoln Park bar screens the New Year's Day bowl games and serves a small menu mixing brunch standards such as Texas toast French toast ($8) with heartier fare such as breakfast pizza topped with mozzarella, provolone, bacon, sausage and eggs ($11).
Drinks: While they offer mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice ($6) and a bloody mary made with vodka from the West Loop's CH Distillery ($8), owner Patrick Wrona recommends taking advantage of the bar's extensive draft selection and going with a Vander Mill apple cider ($6).

Commonwealth Tavern

Dishes: If you need to refuel after a long night of partying, fill up on a $15 all-you-can-eat buffet featuring chilaquiles, bread pudding, quiche Lorraine and chorizo hash.
Drinks: Opt for the Roscoe Village bar's $12 bottomless mimosas or customize your bloody mary ($6) with 10 different sauces and garnishes including shrimp, pepperoni, sausage and cheese.
