The already busy block of 150 W. Kinzie Street - home to John Barleycorn, Moe's Cantina and High Line - will get a little more crowded later this month with the addition of a nightclub called Tunnel.

Tunnel (151 W. Kinzie St.), inspired by London's subterranean tunnels, is the brainchild of Samantha Sanchez, the daughter of John Barleycorn owner Sam Sanchez.

Contrary to its name, the club is not underground, but rather located on the upper level of the same building as John Barleycorn and Moe's Cantina, also owned by Sanchez. Co-owner Michael Gonzalez said he hopes the club's focus on "affordable bottle service" will draw clubgoers looking for an alternative to pricier clubs in the River North area. Most bottles will be about $250. "We definitely don't want to be too pretentious," he said.

Samantha Sanchez, director of marketing, said plans for handcrafted cocktails and light snacks inspired by menu items from sibling restaurants John Barleycorn, Moe's and Chen's Chinese & Cuisine are in the works.

Tunnel will be open to the public Thursday and Friday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Opening night is scheduled for Feb. 27.
