Poop trains? Bus delays from the Blizzard? None of our Chicago Transit Authority complaints can compete with the chatter about the Toronto Transit Commission this week.
On Monday, a transit rider on the TTC tweeted about a bus route sign looking a lot like a penis, according to Canadian CBCNews:
Is it just me, or does this newly erected map of Downsview station look like a giant schlong? @TTChelps@TTCnoticespic.twitter.com/C1Kk0HPQHN

Torontonians, just like Chicagoans would do in this situation, turned to Reddit to join in on the conversation, which bumped the post up to the No. 2 spot on the Toronto SubReddit.
"Seriously. I instantly thought 'That's a penis.' when I saw this. Needed no time to compute," wrote one Redditer. "Did they really need to colour in the tip? Sweet Jesus," wrote another.
CBCNews reported that TTC spokesperson Brad Ross said the TTC was made aware of the map on Monday via Twitter. And by Tuesday morning, TTC employees had removed the map, which was installed in December.
"We have an approvals process for new maps and new signage installations that, unfortunately, was not followed in this case," Ross told CBCNews. "I was unaware of this map. It is not something that would have passed approval."
And people always say Toronto is just the "Bizarro Chicago of the North." Looks like we definitely have the same sense of humor.
