There's still time to get a deal on CTA passes.
The CTA said Monday that retailers could continue to sell passes at the old prices as long as they had them. Prices were hiked Monday for daily, weekly and monthly unlimited ride passes.
"Our belief is that most retailers have already sold their inventory of what we'll call the old passes, (for example) passes sold at the old price," CTA spokesman Brian Steele said.
CTA passes are sold at about 650 retail locations. RedEye is contacting retailers around the city to see who still has the cheaper passes for sale. Below is a (not comprehensive) list, which will be updated:
>> Walgreens, 300 N. Michigan Ave. Still has 7 and 30 day passes.
>> Walgreens, 342 E. Illinois St. Still has 7 and 30 day passes.
>> CVS, 2414 N. Lincoln Ave. 1, 3 and 7 day passes.
>> Walgreens, 3110 W. Armitage Ave. 1 day passes.
>> Walgreens, 2340 W. Madison. Still has all old priced cards.
>> Walgreens, 111 S. Halsted St. Still has 1 and 3 day passes.
>> Walgreens, 1601 N. Milwaukee Ave. 1 day, 7 day PACE and 30 day passes.
>> Jewel Osco, 3400 N. Western Ave. 1 day and 30 day passes.
>> Walgreens, 3358 N. Western Ave. 1 day passes.
>> Jewel Osco, 3630 N. Southport Ave. All passes still available until 10 p.m.
