Cavallari talks wedding, diapers, Bears

Just in case you've been wondering (and we're sure you have), know this: Jay Cutler is an excellent diaper changer.

We caught up with the quarterback's love, Kristin Cavallari, who assured us that Cutler is an extremely hands-on father to their son, Camden.

"He has been since Day 1. He couldn't be better," she said.

She's even willing to defer credit to Cutler when asked who the better diaper changer in the relationship is: "I would say Jay, to be honest he loads him up with his butt cream and all that. Jay is very particular."

The former queen bee of Laguna Beach High School and onetime leading lady of "The Hills" is living in Nashville with the Cutler boys during the Bears' offseason. She was in town Monday to promote Gillette's "Kiss and Tell Us" social experiment.

The event measured whether men make better kissers with or without facial hair. Since Cutler famously went hirsute in honor of Movember last year, we asked K-Cav how she felt about his mustached look.

"I mean ... it wasn't my favorite look of his," she said.

Both Cavallari and Cutler are keeping busy during the offseason as new parents to son Camden Jack Cutler, 5 months.

"It's great," Cavallari said of motherhood. "He's such an easy, fun, sweet little baby, so we're just enjoying every minute of it."

Cavallari said she would like to have more children, but not right away.

"For me it's just a little too soon to be talking about another one," she said. "I just stopped breastfeeding so I feel like I finally have my body back, but sooner rather than later we'll have another one."

We asked Cavallari if Camden receives a lot of Bears'-related gifts.

"He's gotten a few. Not as many as you would think, really," she said. "We get normal stuff too. He doesn't have that many Bears' clothes or anything. He has some but I'm telling you, it's not as much as you would think."

For now, the former reality star's priorities include Jay and Camden Cutler as well as the launch of her new show and jewelry lines. The shoes will be available in Akira and Zara stores in the next few weeks.

"The shoes are nothing crazy you'll wear once and throw in the back of your closet, they're shoes you'll get great use out of," she said. "There's some great flats, some pumps, there's some cute booties that you can wear throughout spring and summer as well."

As for the jewelry, it'll launch in time for Valentine's Day and be available at glamboutique.com. Cavallari said that it would include pieces that can layered and stacked for "effortless chic look."

The football wife-to-be is so busy, she barely has time to make plans for next month, let alone her nuptials to Cutler, for which there is "nothing set in stone." They have talked about the big game this weekend, however.

"We might have some people over [for the Super Bowl]," she said. "We just started talking about it."

But the couple hasn't even started discussing Valentine's Day plans yet.

"I'll probably cook dinner, and we'll probably just do something very simple and sweet," she said. "Being new parents--I guess we could go away somewhere--but it's just easier to stay at home and just do something simple."

But Cavallari has a few date night suggestions for Chicagoans.

"We always go to Chicago Cut. We both love it there. I just went to Pump Room for the first time, which I really liked," she said.

But the food isn't the thing she misses most about the Windy City. Her mom lives here, and, for Cavallari, that's the one thing that's missing in Nashville.

Still, she's enjoying life in Tennessee and plans to call it home someday.

"That's where we want to raise our family eventually," she said.  "But now we're in Chicago most of the year!"
