A cyclist who was hit and killed by a car in Old Town could get a street named in his honor.
Ald. Walter Burnett (27th) on Wednesday proposed naming the northwest corner of Clybourn Avenue and Larrabee Street as "Honorary Bobby Cann Way."
Robert "Bobby" Cann, 26, was hit by a car near that intersection in May while he was riding his bicycle. Shortly after, he died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The honorary street designation will be considered by the Committee on Transportation and Public Way.
