It may be too cold to ride a bike outside. But some cyclists are already thinking about cruising a car-free Lake Shore Drive for the annual Bike the Drive event five months away.
Registration for the MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive opens Jan. 21 at bikethedrive.org.
The Active Transportation Alliance is launching a T-shirt design contest for the event to be held May 25.
Design submissions are due Feb. 11. The five best designs selected by the alliance will advance to an online voting period from Feb. 24 through March 7. The winner will be announced in March and the finalists will receive free registrations to the event.
