Start your day at the revamped restaurant from Evanston native and "Iron Chef" contestant and judge Simon with such options as $12 red velvet pancakes or a $14 Down South (three eggs, biscuits and gravy and hash browns). 6-11 a.m. for breakfast; restaurant closes at 11 p.m.

Bite into melty comfort food for a good cause with a special sandwich from chef Guillermo Tellez featuring gruyere, bacon, parsley chimichurri and onion marmalade on seeded rye. Partial proceeds benefit the Meals on Wheels Chicago program. 6:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Through Jan. 31. $14.50.

The Roscoe Village spot launches a week of daily specials starting with half off all wine bottles including Frescobaldi Castiglioni chianti from Tuscany (regularly $34).
