If a pint of Guinness after St. Patrick's Day parade-watching is in your plans, here's what a glass will cost you at a sampling of bars near this weekend's festivities.

DOWNTOWN SATURDAY

The annual Dyeing of the River starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, best viewed from the west side of the Columbus Drive bridge, the east side of the Michigan Avenue bridge or Upper and Lower Wacker Drive between Columbus Drive and Michigan Avenue. At noon, the Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at Columbus and Balbo drives and continues along Columbus to Monroe Street. More info: chicagostpatsparade.com

The South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at noon Sunday at 103rd Street before heading down Western Avenue to 115th St. More info: southsideirishparade.org
