Step into beer geek heaven with local author Anna Blessing who debuts "Locally Brewed: Portraits of Craft Breweries from America's Heartland," which highlights 20 Midwestern producers such as Piece, Metropolitan and Three Floyds. Sip rare and specialty beers from the featured breweries for $5-$10 each, including Surly Pentagram brett-fermented beer, Dark Horse 3 Pair of Legs maple porter and three offerings from Piece. 7-9 p.m. No cover.

Wednesday (8 p.m.), collective member Marty DeRosa hosts sets from local jokesters Ian Abramson, Ricky Gonzalez and Jeff Steinbrunner. Thursday (8 and 10 p.m.), Chicago comics compete for spots at the Just for Laughs Montreal festival.

Experience others' awkward blunders and risky rewards vicariously as seven storytellers-including Hot Doug's owner Doug Sohn, Imerman Angels cancer support founder Jonny Imerman, Story Club creator Dana Norris, The Moth host Don Hall and comedian Michael Sanchez-interpret the theme of "first move" with true tales. A live band follows each story with a relevant song. 8 p.m. $10.
